    Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

    About Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a therapy modality in which the therapist works collaboratively with the client to explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In depth work will need to be completed to identify core beliefs about self and the origins of these belief systems. Identifying problematic areas for the client and developing treatment plans to interrupt behaviors, block self-defeating thoughts, and reframe beliefs and feelings leads to improved functioning and happiness. This modality is evidence based and has been proven as one of the most effective psycho-social interventions in therapy for clients struggling with overall functioning, anxiety, and depression.
