Fees & Session Info
Fees
Brian Gong
$275 per 50-minute psychotherapy session
Ashley Zarmanian
$225 per 50-minute psychotherapy session
Brian Drennen
$200 per 50-minute psychotherapy session
Amy Penny
$200 per 50-minute psychotherapy session
There are no extra fees based on the number of people in the session. The same fee applies to individual or family therapy. There are no extra fees based on the type of therapy provided either (e.g., talk therapy, EMDR, DBT skills training, family counseling, etc.).
In addition, longer sessions can be arranged. Please speak with your therapist to see if this would be beneficial or clinically appropriate and what the cost would be. Generally-speaking, the cost would simply be the standard fee multiplied by the number of clinical hours reserved unless you are scheduling a half-, full-, or multi-day EMDR intensive.
Insurance
Our practice does not participate with any insurance plans however we are happy to provide billing documentation (called a “superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Keep in mind that only some plans (such as a PPO, POS, or HDHP) allow you to see a therapist who is not in their network.
Methods of Payment
Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted for payment. Many people leave a credit card on file for convenience. If a family is paying for a loved one’s therapy, this is perfectly okay but we typically require the individual adult client to contribute something, regardless of how small, to increase the level of investment they have in the process. We find that the therapeutic work improves if there is some personal contribution.
Cancellation Policy
We realize things happen such as traffic, simply forgetting, or other unexpected emergencies. However, our policy for no-shows and late cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance regardless of circumstance will require payment for the session. If you are not feeling well but okay enough to participate in therapy, please know that there is always the option of doing your session virtually.
Virtual Counseling (Telehealth)
Most Mangrove Therapy Group clinicians had already been practicing psychotherapy via video conferencing formats for several years which has prepared us for our current COVID-19 situation. Recent events have forced many of us to adapt. As such, many therapists have switched to remote counseling to provide the much-needed mental health support while also taking social distancing precautions. Although we find in-person counseling to be preferable in most situations, telehealth can offer many benefits such as when face-to-face meetings are not possible (like when a client is out of town), for convenience in not having to travel to the office, or for those who just feel more comfortable being in the safety of their own homes. Video sessions are conducted through one of many platforms we subscribe to such as Zoom, VSee, or Simple Practice which work quite well and are secure and HIPAA-compliant. Please discuss any questions you have with me during our consultation.
